I can't find my MMR records ( measles, mumos, and rubella ). The last time I had those shots, I was a kid probably 15 + years ago . I can't find my Immunization records anywhere. What do I do? Do I just get the shpts again??? Or can I get a blood test??

You can get blood tests to determine if you are immune, but I suspect such tests are quite expensive. It's probably cheaper to get the shot again.

First, try to contact your former doctor's office. If your doctor is retired, the records may be in possession of the person who took over the practice. Or, perhaps when you left your pediatrician for an adult practitioner the immunizations records were transferred. I don't know how long schools keep such records, but you might check there, too.

One of my daughters had similar issues. I am embarrassed to admit that it took me hours to retrieve her records. For the past 22 years we have been on computers, so retrieval is much faster and easier.

You can get blood tests done to determine if you are still immune to mumps ,measles and rubella. Call your family doctor, or your local health department and ask about testing.
