I'm 23 she's 34. For two and a half years we have known each other. We have been pretty good friends, spending some time together a lot. I felt attracted to her a lot but was not worried about it or anything. Of lately, we have started sort of flirting together. Problem is, we are both women, and she is my teacher( technically she doesn't teach me, but she is a professor in my uni). what should we do? I don't want to lose her as a friend and yet i don't want to lose her as a lover. are we doomed?

interested -yes she is.
I just got a song dedication from her on my profile...1 thing by Amerie,..have listened to it and it sent me shivers (good ones).
but I don't know if its ethical for us to do anything about it...but I guess she has more to lose, seeing that she is a professor and so she has to decide...
yes, she is a lesbian...believe me I know!

If you're a student, you have to be careful. Dating a student can be cause for dismissal or punishment for a professor. Dating one who's in your class is a huge problem for them.

Another problem - do you think or know if she's gay or bi? She may just think your flirting is just girls having fun.

I'm not saying don't go forward with this, but your situation can jeopardize her job. I'd look into it carefully before proceeding.

It sounds like you need to have this exact discussion with her. Honesty will give you the best answers. They may not always be the ones you want, but they will be truthful. I hope that things work out for you. The age difference is not a big deal. The fact that she is a prof at your school might be. Let her know what's going on in your head. Good Luck, I hope it works out for you.

You have to take love where you find it. Go for it, but realize that you will both be in an awkward position and you'll never be able to fully acknowledge this relationship as long as you're a student there.

Wait until you graduate. Less politics involved. Sorry.
