Am a quite person i spend most of my time either on the net or studying, around my neighborhood or at work i don't have female friends but i have few male friends at work and also at home but am shocked that some girls a around my neighborhood and at work keep on laughing at me, talking behind my back for the reason i do not know, i don't even talk to them. What could be the problem?

How do you know the girls are laughing at you or talking about you behind your back?
You may be a quiet person, but you're bordering on anti-social. Get out there and have some fun, talk to people, make new friends.

Some people (unfortunately) are unable to see and value the important factors of life. They seek to ridicule others to boost their own self worth. Please believe me when I say the problem is them. Some people defy logic with their immaturity. Hold your head up high. Ignore them. Know your own self worth.

These people are obviously jealous that you have male friends and that you have a good career!
You are actually quite lucky because they envy you!

Ignore them. They're just being stupid. They're possibly gossipping about how you study all the time, or whatever. Sounds like they're just being immature.

they're just tryin to mess with you probably. just ignore them or you confront them (which is what i would do, but im not a quiet person)

it is because you are socially awkward. if you began talking to them and friending them things would prolly be different.
