If it was a short term change, I'd grab my hubby for a lovely cosy night in with the guarantee of NO Interuptions. We'd have no problems keeping ourselves amused. If we already had friends around then games and conversation would be just fine.

Long term, we'd adapt, we grow our own food and could do a reasonable job of self sufficiency. It would just be a case of getting together the right people and building a working community.

Sound like our vacation house in the mountains. To stop from going crazy I take long walks or explore the market for trinkets.

Bring a whole lot of books, Sodoku games, word search, or if there is a lake nearby GO swimming. I lost so much weight that summer.

I would grab a good book and a cup of coffee and enjoy traveling in my own mind. A board game with family is always a wonderful pass time and then there is sleep.
Oh and if all else fails I would clean the house.

I think that is why people only have 1 or 2 kids now and had about 12 back in the day. What were they doing to fill their free time? Thats what I would do.

Wow! That is a great question. I would probably have a clean house, be smarter from all the books I would read and spend the best time with my family, I wouldn't want to go back to all that stuff.

People will connect more with their family members and the neighbors. The tragedy of all these modern gadgets you mentioned is that we do not talk to people sitting or living next to you but want to know about distant people and objects.

We would be more mobile, socialize more, and be generally more active...not exactly a depressing scenario!!!

Read the Bible, then read a good Sci-Fi book. First start with Truth, then go to something fictitional.

For someone else, it may be a western, or a murder mystery, or a freaking romance novel! But for me, it would have to be Science Fiction.
