if you have crohn's, you have a serious medical condition that over the counter anti-diarrheal medicine won't help. you need to see your doctor right away and figure out what you're eating that is making you feel this way. you should know which food groups upset your system, and which don't. (it's different for individual crohn's sufferers). see a doctor and make a food plan and go from there. also there is prescription medication that the doctor can prescribe to help control your bowel movements.

I don't have crohns, but I do have ulcerative colitis; and I know all about being shackled to the toilet. Sometimes it gets so bad my insides feel like they're turning themselves inside-out.

You probably won't like this answer, but I control mine with a vegan diet. If I eat a slice of pizza, I pay for it for three days. I do use Imodium, but I take double the dose. Doing these things helps, but it's not perfect. Best of luck.
