blue pits have a greyish colored skin, sometimes blue eyes and their coat is some shade of grey...you can see a blue tint to it...look them up.... if he is grey he is likely a blue

AKC papers are not always correct..people who have no clue pick a color and it is just stuck..

here http://www.ultimatebluepitbulls.com/ exactly as I mentioned before... blue eyes, blue coat, blue skin...usually the pigment is consistant

If it's blue.

Seriously though, the above posters had it right but I've seen fawn colored dogs that had a blue undertone that were known to be blue, and I know of a brindle and white dog that had a blue father. It's really just a color and while some ignorant people put stock in it in terms of breeding or fighting, it means nothing.

Blue is just a description for the color of a dog's coat. It is actually a gray color. I think it looks good. Here is an example of a 'blue' American Pit Bull Terrier:

look at it and see what color it is? Blue pits are actually grey in color, and can range from kind of a gunmetal grey to a silver gray color. There are also blue brindles which are striped with a blue/grey primary color.
