Yes, the elite believes the middle class earns and consumes too much, and is an obstacle to a forming a collectivist state. Besides pushing illegal immigration and free trade, they are waging war against traditional american culture and religion through public schools and universities.

The fact that we have only 4% unemployment and as many as 7 million illegal workers should tell you something: We need more workers. Since we can't agree on a useful guest-worker program and it is physically impossible to deport them all or enforce the border without another million workers to track them down and build fences and guard-towers, the interim policy has been to look the other way in all but the most serious cases.
The same can be said about enforcement of traffic, drug and tax laws. They let a hundred minor lawbreakers go by and then enforce the law against one to provide an example and hopefully deter others. You may also note that while Congress increased CBP funding, they decreased USCIS funding.
As far as the polarization of the classes: employers wanting to hire cheaper labor is a law of economics, and there is less advantage in being rich if everyone else is rich. Who is going to clean your office, park your car, and flip your burgers for you at $7/hr if everyone makes $30-$500/hr?
In conclusion: lowering taxes on capital gains was a conscious strategy to increase the wealth of the upper classes, but failing to increase enforcement of the immigration laws is a simple by-product of too little labor and not enough legal immigration.

Gee I didn't know there was a plan to eliminate the middle class...
I suppose people with little time to think for themselves or those who only read or watch biased news might think we are doing poorly.
Manufacturing in my area was killed in the 70's when the unions insisted that the guy who was qualified to sweep the floor got $14 an hour. Yep the entire valley steel mills shut down. But today there are manufacturers up and down the valley and anyone who wants to actually work can get a decent paying job for this area.
Wages stuck in 1981? I make 3 times what I did in 81 and I am retired....hows that work again?
Sorry but i just can't buy it. Do yourself a favor and think for yourself. By the way the US economy grew 3.9% last quarter, just in case you missed it.

Here is the simple truth. Over the next 15 years, 70% of the available workforce in the US is going to retire.
==================
This is NOT correct.
---------------------------------
I do believe this now.........
Seems like the Power Brokers goal is to have Super-Rich Elite and Dirt-Poor(Illegal Aliens) The New Serfs Class and elimination of the US Middle Class as we know it.

70% of the work force would retire???? DO people just make up data here. Guess what, that data doesn't include the children who would replace them. Granted that our country would lose some work force, we our OVERPOPULATED. Los ANgeles can only safely provide water for a million people, but we hold many times that.
I agree with you Feathersword. California has the most illegal immigrant, and guess what we have the least percent of middle class and quickly declining. What I have found is that the poor hate people who are better off than them, and doing what ever to hurt them. THey can't attack the rich, and for some odd reason admires them, so they attack those in the middle. Heck the pro-illegals in this site attack Middle class Hispanics and call them racist names like Coconuts. THe poor right vote in laws that benefits them while trying to redistribute the money of those in the middle. THe rich trick the poor ino voting in laws that benefits the rich. THey would write laws that give the poor a penny now, but take a dollar later. Unfortunately the poor are too stupid to realize this. (Partly because they lack the education to understand things, and their own greed over ride any thoughts) The Democrats do have a plan that helps our economy and make life easier for the poor. THe plan is to increase taxes to take an unuasual amount of money from the middle class and gives it to the poor. (You can't provide for the Liberal program from taxing just the rich, because there are not enough of them to tax) THis helps our economy, because the middle class some times try to save money. If you take from the middle , they can't save as much. Giving to the poor would help our economy, because they would most likely spend it, and buy goods from the rich. THe more people spend, the larger our GNP. Unfortunately in this program, it's alot harder to get out of being poor.
Several years ago, I had several assistants. They are jealous of me and constantly mooch from me. THey tell me I'm rich , but when I ask them how much they pay in taxes, and was horrified that I only bring in $5,000 more than them after taxes, despite my Pay before taxes is double theres. THey also get some social benefits because they are poor.
THey would complain they are poor all the time, and say It's unfair that I make more, I tell them to go back to college, and I try to help them. THey say they're too lazy.
PS I help some of these people get their GED and train them for a better job. THose who are about to give me a thumbs down, WHAT have you done to help your fellow men. YES, some of them are immigrants from Mexico, hence, why I'm helping them get their GED. I help people who actually wants to follow the proper road of a better life, rather than those who wants to mooch off the responsible and hard working. Life is about jumping through hoops, and illegal immigrants wants to cheat on that. What is promise to us AMericans is if we follow the rules, work hard and work smart, we would be able to succeed. We are mad that illegal immigrants want to destroy that.

You make some good points. Some people say that the lack of immigration enforcement is actually a part of the North American Union paln. You can get details of this by searching google.

Here is the simple truth. Over the next 15 years, 70% of the available workforce in the US is going to retire. Now, I don't know about you, but thats bound to cause some serious issues. Granted, it will be a whole lot easier to find a job for those of us with 30 - 50 years of work still left in us.
Kirk - Exactly what part of the economy are you not satisfied with?

I believe so. Poor needy people are much easier to dominate. Eliminate the middle class and all you have is rulers and those they rule completely without question.
