"Love" from the mouths of some fundamentalists means "judgment, damning to hell, and smug righteousness."

I'm still looking in the gospels for the place where Jesus says "They will know you are My followers by the smug righteousness and judgmentalism you have for one another."

Thre are a lot of love-hate relationships in this world. These are not healthy type relationships, but people still get in them and often suffer abuse in them. I wish traditional religions would become more like science, open to the best in ideas available, to test out, and find out how well they work. There are a lot of spiritual ideas, to be open to, and try out in ones life.

That is pretty crappy, I'll agree. I never thought calling people the whore of Babylon was a way to show love, but hey. Maybe I was wrong!! ;-)

I think it depends on your definition of "funny." I have NEVER found it to be funny. Heartbreaking, exasperating, irritating, hurting, etc., but funny? Not in my book.
