I want to lose 9 pounds of fat safely. I am still in school so it needs to be something that can be worked around that. I already do 50 knee push ups, 50 crunches and then I walk 1/4 of a mile then jog a mile then walk another 1/4 of a mile. I eat healthy but would like some ideas on how to improove my diet. Please Help!

I forgot to mention that at the moment weigh 109 pounds. The reason I only jog one mile is because I love to run so that is why I jog because I love it. And The reason 109 is to much eight for me is because I feel like it is and I'm short I'm 5'2".

your doing good but, here are some head pointers. Though it sounds like it would kill you, only drink water. It will wash bad chemicals out of your body that make you gain weight. Then make sure you eat atleast one MINI candy bar a day, if not, your body basically begs you to eat junk food, this way, your body gets want w/out gaining weight with excercing you are doing - which your doing great on. good luck.

If you need to lose for a specific event, go Adkins. Cutting out carbs will make you drop about 10 lbs. of water weight in about a week.

If you want to lose overall. A traditional low fat, moderate carb (focusing on fibrous carbs and restricting but not eliminating starchy ones) moderate to high protein diet of about 1200-1800 calories (depending on your current weight and how fast you need to lose it) combined with a good exercise plan works best.

Don't forget to do weight bearing exercise, it is the best way for anyone, man or woman, to sculpt their body and improve their BMR (basal metabolic rate).

There isn't much more you can do, except increase your walking and drink more water.

You don't say where you're starting from weight-wise, so I can only caution you about this: Make sure you are losing fat instead of muscle mass. And keep in mind that you probably ARE losing fat but gaining muscle- so that's why you're not seeing that much weight loss.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
