Yes you can wear a bridesmaids dress as a wedding dress, and that is perfect for a wedding on the beach. I like the second one better because it looks like a wedding dress while being simple. The first looks like a regular white sun dress, nothing special. But keep it, and you can wear it on any other summer day!

The second dress is lovely. Of course it's fine to wear a bridesmaid dress as a wedding dress. That's what I'm doing, and I know of others who are doing the same. That dress is perfect for a beach wedding.

Hi and congratulations!
Most definitely you CAN wear a bridesmaids dress as a wedding dress! Many brides are.
I REALLY like the second one! It's perfect for a beach wedding. The first one is just too casual! The second one is beautiful and more elegant!
Good luck!

This is your wedding, and there is no rule saying that you have to spends hundreds or thousands of dollars on a dress.
Is the ceremony going to be in the daytime? If so, I'd use the shorter dress. Both are beautiful though, and both would work for the Bohemian feel.
I suggest that you try them on at the store. When you see yourself in the mirror wearing THE dress, you'll know.

Not noticeable at all. those are only suggestions as to who wears them, not a rule! Either one will be fine, they're both very pretty. Mine was an alfred angelo dress - more like for a brides maid or winter formal. No train, etc.
I like the 2nd one if it's a late afternoon/evening wedding - I think it's beautiful; The first may fit better with the bohemian casual feling. If you like the first one better, stick with it.

For my wedding I have bought a bridesmaid dress and am taking it to a dress maker to add what I want (it's a simple A-line, tea-length). I will be SO MUCH cheaper than buying a wedding dress and I get what I want. (I am only adding lace to the bottom, rouching to the top and a sash...) so YES I think a bridesmaids dress is suitable...and probably ideal if you are having a casual beach wedding. GOOD LUCK and CONGRATS!!!!

Both are very nice dresses, my personal preference is the second one but both are lovely. It is more than acceptable to wear a bridesmaid dress, you do not have to have the whole traditional puffy dress, some girls get married in bikinis or their jeans. If this dress makes you happy and you feel beautiful then it's the one for you.

It doesn't matter who the store intended the dress for. If it's the kind of dress you want to wear, that's what matters.
I do prefer dress #1 for a beach wedding. It seems to have more of the casual feel of the beach. The other one is too -- hmmm... I'm not sure what the right word is -- just not "out-doorsy."

They are both gorgeous. Also, davids bridal has casual wedding gowns as well. Its your day and you can wear whatever kind of dress you want. For a twist maybe get the same dress for bridesmaids only in a different color.

The dress from David's Bridal is so pretty and it would look great as a beach wedding dress. I think you should go with the second one if that is the one you like.
