They both have great games, 1 plays HD DVD, and the PS3 plays Blue Ray.
I am torn?

Xbox 360 only plays HDDVD movies and only if you buy an ugly looking expansion to it which eventually leads to the 360 costing far more. The PS3 on the other hand uses Blu-Ray to play HD movies and games. The PS3s only drawback is that it has less games currently out because it hasnt been out as long. This will be remedies soon with mnore games coming out and more developers realising the best platform is now the PS3.

The XBox is really just a games console whereas the PS3 is a whole lot more - Bluray DVD, Gaming, Media player and Internet for all your emails, You-tube etc. I simply love the PS3 and it's great value for money. The quality of the device and visuals are out of this world.

ps3 all the way. ps3 has more features. ps3 features that come standard on 360 will cost you extra, shooting the price above the ps3. ps3 has wireless bluetooth litium battery rechargable controllers unlike the 360 which u will have to purchase batteries for. built in wifi and online service is free (although 360 is better buts costs u) unlike 360 which the wifi adapter cost 100 bucks more. 360 has no HD output unlike ps3 which comes standard. 360 has a EXTERNAL HDDVD player that costs 200 bucks more, ps3s blueray player is built in and comes standard on every model. ps3 has its power supply built in, 360 has a huge external power supply. ps3 has a upgradable sata hard drive which can be upgraded up to 1000gb unlike 360 elite which only goes up to 120gb. 260 has a overheating issue that hasn't been resolved yet. ps3= home entertainment center, PC, console, ps2, blueray player, and can emulate games from older consoles (if u want too) with a few hacks. 360= overheating console that plays PC games. if you do opt for the 360 wait till they resolve these issues or you will be p*ssed.

there are MORE movie companies that produce their movies on bluray than HD-DVD, i think theres only 2 companies that sell their movies on HD-DVD, plus blockbuster is only carrying out blu ray because more people use it than hd dvd. also you would have to pay $200 more to get the hd dvd add on
you are better off getting a ps3 because...
- ps3 has a built-in blu-ray player
-ps3 supports 1.3 HDMI which has rich colors and xbox supports 1.2 HDMI
- ps3 has much more and better exclusives, most of them cant go to xbox 360 because it cant handle that many data(DVD- 8.5gb, blu-ray 50gb)
- because of the blu-ray's huge space, ps3 will have WAY better graphics than 360
- online is free for ps3 not like 360
- ps3 will have over 300 games released by this spring
- you can browse the internet on ps3, no such thing for xbox 360
- when developers get used to the system, the graphics will be WAY better than 360. should take them a year to get used to it
- developers stated that they will start using ps3 as the lead platform and port ps3 games to xbox
- playstation home is coming out this spring, its a virtual community where you can hang out with friends and customize your own apartment which xbox doesnt have(FREE)
- ps3 is a true HD console. xbox 360 upscale games to 1080p and ps3 DISPLAY games up to 1080p
- built in Wi-Fi
- xbox 360: 33% hardware failure
ps3: .2% hardware failure(see the decimal? less than 1%!)
- ps3 has better back-comp except the 40gb
- rumble returns in spring 2008
- you can upgrade your harddrive without voiding warranties with any 2.5 HDD, which xbox cant because you have to buy a xbox HDD

if you want the accessories that ps3 comes with, that would add up to over 700 dollars, so that means ps3 is actually cheaper

Go for the PS3. Wireless internet, bluray, xbar, free online gaming, larger HDD, and 1080p. All of these features do not come standard with the 360, so you have to pay more to get them.

It dosen't matter which system to buy because both the xbox 360 and the PS3 are equally excellent consoles. If you still can't decide on which console to buy, my advice is saving a lot of money and buy both of them.

GO FOR THE PS3 THE XBOX HAVE ISSUES WITH HIS FANS, THE CONSOLE GETS HOT AND FREEZES. BESIDE PS3 HAVE THE NEW TECHNOLOGY THAT IS BLUE RAY.
