I got the biological/physical sciences parts pretty much down solid. This stuff is easier to learn, since it is mostly text-book.

But I do really horrible on the verbal. Can anyone give me some tips or pointers??Thank you!!!!!!

Over 30 years ago I used a box of 1000 vocabulary flash cards to prepare for the MCAT (like you I felt weak in this area). It helped me score fairly highly in this category.

When I took my MCAT in the mid 70's I memorized 5000 vocabulary words; thats the reason I still know what torpid means. I wrote them down on 3 X 5 cards and had my wife read them to me.

I just took the MCAT this past August. Enrolling in the Kaplan MCAT course is probably one of the best methods for preparation, whether for verbal reasoning exclusively or the entire test itself. Best of luck.

Try enrolling in the Kaplan MCAT course. They should be able to help quite a bit.
