I am a Christian Orthodox. The most significant principle is beating our selfishness.Beating our ego.
Whatever bad is happening all around us,is because of egoism. That is why ,the confession is so important. That is why you have to look the priest in the eyes when you confess.God knows our sins,He doesn't need to find out what we have done or not.We confess in front of someone about our bad way of life and that is the first step to beat our pride and our egoism.

Most are the same principals, that you will be rewarded for doing good deeds and punished for bad deeds. Also that you can earn your way to heaven is the principal concept of every religion EXCEPT Christianity. Christianity says you are not good enough to get to heaven, shows you the law of moses to prove that you are a bad person, but promises you heaven anyway ONLY IF you turn from breaking the 10 commandments, appologize to God, and trust that his son Jesus died for your sins and if you trust that, you will get to enter heaven. Christianity is the only religion that has a saviour so that even if you did some of the worst things in the world, you still have a way to get to heaven and the "way" is open to everyone no matter who they are or what they did. Unfortunately most people do not take that way because it means they would have to stop sinning and they cant stop because they love thier sins.

I hate to wear it out but, And if it harm none, do as ye will.
It's the same principle as Christianity, Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you.
Negative energy out, you get it back 3x stronger. Positive energy out, well... you get the picture.
Respect nature, thank it for it's blessings. Love your people, love the world. Know that all things are connected. From the people you work with, to that ant you squished this morning. Everything has an energy connection.

I'm a pagan and the one uniting thread among most of us is to honor and revere the Earth and ALL things in and on it.
