to me morality sais i dont have the right to some one elses property, to me respecting others is being moral
i ment the invasiion of cannan by moses and his crew, following some dictates of some [god] that said invade cannan...... i give you that land.
many lands were taken by force, like the english and the indians, but i dont think it was ,a moral act.
wether god suposedly said to do it or they just wanted the [land of milk and honney] because of greed,or some other reason?

No one said it better (imho) than Knight. I've always believed that had the modern Israel came to exist in a more peaceful and moral manner, we wouldn't have a quarter of the problems we have today. Palestinian Jews, Christians and Muslims co-existed quite well in what is now known as Israel, and never had problems except during the Crusades and when, as mentioned before, the UN took control, and then the European Jews bombed them and took control (Irgun and Lehi, Jewish terrorist groups).
I'm highly surprised at the lack of historical knowledge when it comes to Israel and Palestine. Makes me think that people believe what they're fed just because it supports their bigotry or racism towards Muslims and Arabs, because there's so much out there that proves the opposite of what they think.
And while I'm thinking of it, there are even Jews who oppose the state of Israel, by declaration that the Torah strictly forbids a Jewish-run state.

God deemed the Holy Land to be that of the Jews and they have co-exited there for a long, long time with fellow Jews, Christians and Muslims alike in peace before the UN mandate. The problem comes from the politics that evolved from the people in the UN who NEVER took into consideration those very people that were living there-the native Jews, Christians and Muslims! Think about it........The UN, in particularly France and Britain decided to go get a map and start carving up the land and telling these natives whats theres and whats not. Its embarrassing and shameful what the UN did. The Holy Land is the center of the universe and should be respected and revered and protected by and for the faithful Jews, Christians and Muslims and not used as a special interest of the UN for use for their purpose.

The Hebrews took the land from the Canaanites. And then the Muslims took the land from the Hebrews (who had been mostly eliminated by the Romans in the first place). And then the Europeans came in and didn't take the land, but just tried to control everything anyway. It's not clear from this history that anyone has any more right to control it than anyone else.
But then, this is true of just about any place on Earth. Indigenous groups get displaced all the time. Is it fair? No. Is it reality? Yes. And I think you'll need to go to the Politics forum to even begin to get any decent answers on how to address it.

The Jews did not steal it, it was given to them by none other then The Lord God. It was God that went before them and fought against the Canaanites after they were utterly wiped out the Jews settled in their land and cities. This was the "promised land", God promised it to Israel and He delivered. The Earth belongs to The Creator and He gives it to whomever He wants. If you got a problem with Jews posse sing it take it up with Him. And besides what is this to you? Are you really sooo concerned about the land there, or is this just another "left-wing" cause?

They have the same right that anyone has to any land these days. If they have the force to take it, and the international backing, then they can take it. Just like the United States did here in America, just like the British did from the Celts and the Picts, just like just about anyone who has any country did to the original peoples. Moral right? Define that, you'll find it much harder than you think. Unfortunately, what is and is not moral is subject to who's telling the story, and who writes the History books.

When the Jews started returning to the Holy Land there was nothing there. Do you realize that the Jews are the only people in the world with a God-given deed to that land. God didn't give any of the rest of us a deed to land, only the Jews.
The truth is the Palestinians are trying to take God's land from the Jewish people. Even the Koran speaks of that land being given by God to the Jewish people. God owns the entire earth and when God says a portion of land is His, who are we to say it isn't?
God's Word will not change. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

Why do people feel they need to 'own' holy land? I don't understand why when we all know this part of the world is holy, sacred why there is always fighting to 'own' it? Our individual perception of GOD may be different but there is only one creator and I believe he is very sad with out human fighting over a place as special as this. Maybe it should be made common holy land to be used by all people to worship?

The Jews have a claim on Palestine that dates back to biblical days. Since Israel reestablished itself in 1948, the Jews have turned a desert into a garden. The economy has flourished. What have the Palestinians done with what they've been given/what they've taken?

we only have THEIR word that god gave them anything other than funny haircuts and clothing. the jews have been in the process of stealing that property for about six thousand years, just like europeans have been stealing north america for about four hundred years from Native Americans, however, there has been almost no outcry over that. in fact, it's these same amerikan christians that keep crying how amerika needs to defend the jews. amerikan christians claim amerika is the promised land.

Apparently your knowledge of historical fact is missing. The State of Israel was established by the UN not Jews. Now you should be able to understand how propaganda can distort reality.
