I wanted to become a nun for the longest time. God has shown me signs that he wanted me to become a nun. Shown me that is the path to take. Then I found someone I love and now going out with this person. I feel like I am hurting God. He has shown me so much that the path to religious life was the way to go and now I don't know.

Well? Maybe this is Mr. Right for you. God tells us that when Christians marry, they should only marry someone else who is a Christian. Because there isn't agreement between a believer & an unbeliever.

This is a question that only God can answer. But if I wanted to be a nun & Mr. Right came along, I am sure that God would have me marry Mr. Right & put God first in our marriage. See? When you are born again, then you can pray & commit to God 24/7 in your prayer life wherever & whenever.

But sometimes God calls us to a ministry & to not marry. But I think that is few people. Maybe this guy has been praying for the perfect girl for him. And maybe this is God puting you together. So? You should test this guy & see where he is in his faith in Jesus Christ.

Also, If you feel you are hurting God, this would be that you feel you grieving the Holy Spirit. The only time I grieve the Holy Spirit is when I doubt Gods love for me. God loves you with whatever choice you make. But there are always conscequences to wrong choices. So, thank God for the clear direction as to what choice to make. Personally, I would think God would rather you go out with Mr. Right.

So? Without faith it is impossible to please God for those who come to God must believe God Is, and is a rewarder to those who diligently seek Him. See? You can diligently seek Him whether you are a nun or not.

Being religious doesn't get you closer to God. Praying in Spirit & Truth does. Be still & listen & know God Is.

Dont let a false religion turn you into a slave in the name of God, first of all God cannot be hurt, second, God gave marriage as a gift. Its only a false religion that would keep you bound in the clothes of a nun, 1Ti. 4:3.

You first have to be born-again Jo. 3:3, you cannot please God in any way until you are. Read the gospels and pray to God alone, repent and obey Christ Mk.1:15. Then you will be set in the path He has chosen for you, and your eyes will be opened to the deception that your now in, God grant you deliverance.

You may need to experience this in your life to know the difference so you can make a great decision, not to wonder if you would do things differently. Making a decision to marry a man or the church is a big life changing one. Make it carefully, pray about it, take your time. If you marry you may have wonderful children who will do great things. If you become a nun with this experience you will be able to help women find their calling from God. See how it works?

Pray. Take your time with this man. Seek spiritual guidance from a priest of your choice.

If you choose to marry, take your time. You will take pre-marital guidance from a priest. Pray always. It will take some time to be married in the Catholic Church. By the time you marry you should be sure that your choice is correct.

It would not be fair to your future husband if you should make the wrong choice in this life-determining matter. He is expecting and should get a completely dedicated wife. If you make the wrong choice becoming a wife instead of a nun when God wants you to be a nun, your marriage will not be a happy one.

Prayer is the only path to making this choice. May you have peace.

Yours in Christ Jesus

God does not show signs, but he gives undeserved kindness.
He does not want you to become a nun. He wants you to learn about him and his son. He wants you to come to an accurate knowledge of him and his son. John 17:3. He wants you to learn and listen to his word and guide your life to live, live on his earth forever. Just reason on what his son said at Mathew 5:5, then ask yourself why Jesus said that simple statement? Because he knew that his father promised this to people on earth that were meek and teachable. Psalms 37:9-11,29. Remember that all scripture is inspired of God. 2 Tim 3:16
This was so you could test your beliefs, and put away all falsehood and keep the truths and grow in wisdom.
This is how you put on a new personality, so you can gain the protection from God and live on his earth forever, in this way you also can help your loved ones to also gain everlasting life.
Remember the bible never lies. Ask questions and allow it to answer.

You believe that God loves you, right? If he loves you, why would he want you to not be happy?

Go out with the other person. See what happens.

If it all goes wrong, you can become a nun later, right?

Which path allows you to follow Christ's commands most closely? Personally I don't feel that shutting yourself up in a Convent is the best way to obey the Great Commission.

God says to acknowledge Him in everything you do and He WILL direct your path. Proverbs 3:6. That is a promise that you can claim for yourself and pray straight back to God. I will pray for you....that God will make things perfectly clear to you...and that you will have great happiness. God bless you.
