I don't think it matters much what color Jesus' skin was. I assume that since he's of Middle Eastern descent, he looked much like a Middle Eaterner does now, and his skin color could range anywhere from being very light to very dark. Does it really matter what color his skin was? I agree it's annoying when so many artists portray him as pasty-white and delicate (he was a carpenter and probably had huge muscles), but His message is the important thing, don't you think?

The Passion of the Christ is a movie based on the Gospels and written according to the Catholic influence of Mel Gibson and the writer of the book that the movie was based on. It is a dramatic rendering only for the sake of inspiration and to give a full depiction historically of just how horrid a crucifixtion was to endure. People from varying cultures and races all over the globe have their own concepts and preconcieved notions of just how things went and who Christ was, what He looked like and how His manner was..but truthfully the only thing that matter is that He is our God and He gave His life, His teaching and His testamony while on this earth for anyone who was willing to believe in Him and upon His commandments as given in His Word. He was born, lived, taught, healed and remained sinless for us and then suffered and died to be resurrected so that we could have hope and that is for everyone...no matter what corner of the planet you are from and what color skin you have. As well, how could there be DNA testing when there is no remains for which to draw a sample. Christ rose again on the 3rd day and is now at the Right Hand of the Father, preparing a place for those who belong to Him. The Passion of the Christ is a fictional account of historical facts...beautiful and poetic and remarkably well conveyed...but the true gospel comes from the Holy Scriptures in their entirety. Love in Christ, ~J~

We have no DNA of Jesus Christ to test, so your assertion is false. We cannot "prove" genetically that Jesus Christ was any particular color.
That being said, Jesus was a JEW, from a specific family of Jews, born and raised in the Middle East. Even if His skin HAD been lily-white (which is doubtful), any skinhead or Nazi worth their salt would have labeled Him a "non-white" just for His family connections.
For those who think that white skin means perfection, may it be widely known that Salvation was provided for all humanity by a COLORED MAN, and that was the work of GOD. Deal with it.
As for the movie, no big deal. It's "only a movie", you know. Why sweat the small stuff?

Of course Jesus wasn't white; He was Middle Eastern. This makes no difference to what He did or those who trust in Him as Saviour.
And what DNA testing??

DNA testing hasn't proved what you claim. There is no body to test. There is some doubt in the historical community that Christ ever existed since there is no Roman record of the crucifixion.

Did we really need DNA evidence to prove Jesus was not white when he was born in what is now referred to as the Middle East? The fact that white people tried to claim Christianity as their own invention doesn't prove anything! The Book of Christ cannot be proven either but people still believe it.

What did they do DNA testing on? As far as I know Jesus' existence is still questionable and he was a Jew, so would would have resembled any of the other Semitic peoples.

If JC were to get on airplane today he would probably be viewed with suspicion. Chances are he looked more similar to someone like Osama Bin Laden, the current face of terrorism, than Jeffery Hunter or other European actors who have portrayed him.

Where exactly did you get that from ? I wasn't aware we had some Jesus DNA laying around...
Not arguing that he wasn't white; but wondering where you heard of this DNA test proof...

Document that dna test, please. Or, are you just blowing hot air?
That's not documentation ... it's just someone's opinion. Also, never let non-Christians do the documentation. For example, non-Christians assumed the Mary Magdalena was married to Christ because she was betrothed to Him. Any good Christian knows that we are all betrothed to Him.
Ever hear of “the bride of Christ”?
God’s Word, that two-edge sword, is the most powerful weapon in a Christian's arsenal. It defeats all lies.
