We are getting married in February 2009 and would like to go some place where it is warm and we could possibly go snorkling or scuba diving without breaking our budget. I would like to try to make a decision soon so that we can make reservations and plan ahead for savings.

TAHITI is perfect for that, and the scenery is out of this world!

I went to Key West for my Feb honeymoon. The temp is usually around 70-75 year round, and early Feb for my trip it was about 70. Warm enough to swim or scuba if you wish, plenty of sunshine makes it feel warmer. I swam and wasn't cold.

I got a room on priceline for $75/night, I think it was at the Key West Fairfield Inns & Suites, and the room was fantastic. The place had a outdoor pool/patio/bar and it was the best room for the price I've ever gotten. Key West is great for hangin out and enjoying life. It's not really a young person's party town, but perfect for a honeymoon. There are some crowded party bars there if that's your thing, like Sloppy Joe's for instance, good luck getting in though. I would go there again in a heartbeat. Good luck and congrats.

The Caribbean is always an option.
Alot of people stay in the states and go to Key West, Florida. I bet that would be a nice place to be in February.
If you are a member, contact your local AAA travel office. It might even be worthwhile for you to join AAA.

You can't go wrong with Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. I have a quick guide to this beautiful beach town on Cafeyak.com.
