the problem we have is wedding cars, the only thing we can afford on our budget is a limo, although i really wanted a classic car!
the classic car costs £950 for two hours!

You may want to compare prices on this site. It will give you free quotes on limos etc. with no obligation to rent. Maybe you can find a better deal on that classic car!

Also as an alternative you can always look into getting a rent a car - some car companys have luxury cars like Jaguar's, Lincoln Towncars etc. They will come out cheaper than if you rented a limo for 2 hours. Just another alternative to think about.

limos can look good but it depends on the rest of the wedding. is the car going to show up the rest of it? for example would you want a limo to turn up at a registry office when you and your man are dressed in normal wear as my mum did (if you get my meaning)
i got married on a budget of £5k in scotland last year, in gretna green (we thought it would be a bit tacky until we went there and its just an oringal looking old room! complete with black beams ect)
i wouldnt have taken a limo there as it would have looked out of place so i used my dads car which is a 5yo merc, it was a nice car, not too flash but not a ford escort!
if you know people who have cars that you could use i would do that and save the money!

Er...yeah limos are chav. Try an executive car/taxi firm, we had a nice newish Mercedes from an executive taxi firm for about £200 (no taxi stickers etc.). Quite low key but stylish - not a chav in sight!

£950 for 2 hours? You are being ripped off.
The limo doesn't look a bit chav. It looks *totally* chav. Avoid it.

Why not just show up in a decent luxury car rather than a classic car? You must know someone with a nice big Merc or Beemer?

Don't get a Limo. If you are on a budget, hire a top-end mercedes or lexus for the day (It's probably cheaper than the limo) from a car rental company and ask a friend to drive for you....

Much classier than a limo - that's waaaaay too tacky.

Do you or any of your friends/relatives know someone who owns a classic car that might be willing to drive you for a small fee?
You could also contact a local classic car club and ask if anyone would help you out and set the price you are offering. Heck, if it is the friend of a friend/relative, offer to give them a seat at the reception!

No, limo's are not chav!!!!! Classic cars are lovely but expensive as you pointed out, but no one would bat an eyelid if you came in a limo. If you are not comfortable with it then look for an alternative but they do not look chav at all.

I would say a limo is chavvy to be honest. What about a horse and cart? A bit of a cliche but a bit less Victoria Beckham perhaps. Otherwise the other suggestions are good.

I never realised they were so expensive, it cost less than that for a whole wedding including a limo in Las Vegas!

White lioms are chav, black ones are not-but you don't want people to think you are going to a funeral.
