i think whatever you choose will be expensive as you are under 25. The cheaper the car though, the cheaper the insurance. And... it would be worth just getting TPFT as Fully comp would probabçy cost more than the car! I have always found Direct Line to do good car insurance. You can type in your details and some car details to check out prices.

look on PARKERS website, they give you a complete rundown of all insurance bands from 1-20 stating each car in that band,ie band 1 being cheapest,it is a really good information site, not sure of full address but i always just google parkers and it does come up,you will be surprised at some of the cars in each band, good luck.

A 4 door, between 5-9 years old. (Too new costs more to replace, too old will break down more and can be less safe on the roads). Get an alarm or The Club to put on it also. And lower your insurance payout from million dollar liability to maybe 500,000. This all keeps your rate low.

For a 23 year old, get a small four door 4 cylinder basic sedan. Get your first two years proof that you are a good driver and then step up to a bigger size if needed. You are wasting petrol/gas if you get a large car when you don't need it until you have a family anyway. Good luck..

By an large the lower the cc the lower the insurance. The car buyers guides of which their are plenty these days wil tel you the probable insurance grouping. The higher the grouping the higher the insurance. ie Ford KA and it is a good little car

One of the factors in determining the premium on auto insurance is the symbol assigned to the vehicle. The higher the symbol the higher the insurance.
