I happen to be the mother of 2 who recently graduated college and are in very good positions.
We saved and sacrificed just so we could try to "set up" our children to make it on their on, and do something special with their life.
I am proud to say my children make more than we do.

Of course not. Just think about it. Why should you??? They are the ones that made it possible for you to succeed.
I would let them know how grateful I am that they gave me the opportunity, and the encouragement to be so successful in my business, or career.
That is what a parent wants to see after all the sacrafices they made for their children.

No, and I do make more money than my parents. I think they would expect it if they don't have degrees or if they have not been working long.
Anyway, I treat my parents to things they need all the time so it is not a problem. They were very supportive of me (not to mention raising me) so I love to get things for them and pay bills for them etc...
Hopefully your parents don't begrudge you.

No. They spend their entire lives wanting nothing but the best for you. They are probably proud of you for earning a good living. Just share the wealth by taking care of their needs. But try not to flaunt it, be subtle.

Probably most people over 25 do make more money than their parents.

Not at all...I would feel like they would be proud of me and that they had done a good job raising me. Every generation needs to improve on the last...better education, better jobs...or the line stagnates and eventually disappears.

Your parents should be proud of you. I am sure they are. If they are insecure about it just dont flaunt it. Dont buy expensive gifts that will embarass them.

I could only dream about making more money then my dad. Anyway if I could it would be a great thing to be able to take care of my parents.l..

Why should you? You and they should feel proud. With your big income, you should repay them by giving them a better life then what they are used to.
