That's tough to say... it depends on where the anastamosis was made, and frankly just how low the serum glucose level was. I'm sure a preoperative Chemistry panel was performed and would be quite helpful for comparison. In my experience I haven't seen hypoglycaemia as a major complication s/p gastric bypass, but I suppose it may be a contributing factor, at least in theory.
