My dads family has kicked me out because i was named after my grandfather. They are very screwed up. Should I just consider myself lucky they arent in my life?

If they don't want you around just because of your name then you are better off without them.

Well it's sad when they kick u out of the family just because of that. That is no reason to kick u out of the family. U are blood and that's all that should matter no matter who u were named after. Ur better off without them if their gonna be like that. Don't feel bad about it. when ur dad's side has a family get together and I would go to make a appearance and show them that it doesn't bother u that they kicked u out of the family. Go for ur dad's sake. U'll be the better person in the long run. Don't let it bother u.

Yes consider yourself lucky. They sound like ignorant people. There is enough hate in the world to have to get it from your own family.

Never consider yourself lucky when you do not have a relationship with your parents, remember the 10 Commandments. I am sure there is something else causing you'll to fall out, please talk with your family church pastor of the family ministry, therapist or someone in the family that can help both of you to come to a good understanding.

Don't sound like a very loving family...and yes sometimes you are better off without them. So just move on in your life.

I think you should seriously consider whether being around people who think like they do is in your best interest. It might just be best to consider yourself lucky.
They sound at least very superficial and perhaps dangerously unbalanced.

yeah you should, if people can be dumb enough to reject you just because of your name, then they shouldnt even be part of your life.
