The national language is Hindi. There are tons of dialects too. Foreigners shouldnt have a problem coz they speak english too.

India is a most divirsified country with more than 10, 000 languages. First you need to understand what is Indian culture? India has more than 25 states with 25 different languages. If you dont know their native languages then you may face trouble in understanding them.

English will work by default. Hindi is second most preffered language.

mainly Hindi is universal in india..

Gujrati, Tamil, Bengali, Punjabi are very common too. and lot's of english in the urban areas

India's link language is Hindi, but we have 18 official languages here, and a lots of dialets also. English is also having 2nd link language here.

hindi and english is spoken at national level. 14 major languages are spoken regional level. there are morethan 100 languages spoken in india.
