Jewish men wear certain items that set them apart from gentiles and others... A Christian man or woman might wear a WWJD bracelet or a cross. Islamic women certainly stand out because of their veils and Hindu men often wear turbans.... So, what sets apart an atheist...? Is there anything at all ?

Thankfully, there are no outwards signs of atheism, since I'm a confirmed atheist and work with a bunch of seriously religious people. I figure they'd never speak to me again if they found out I thought the idea of god was absolutely ridiculous. I also spent the better part of two years going to catholic church with a boyfriend and he never suspected.

Some signs of atheism - not talking about going to church, highly logical, scientifically inclined, a signficantly higher IQ than the average population. Oh, and the "Darwin" fish bumper sticker on the back of their car...

The thing is, they don't gather together in laundomats or bus shelters and sing anti-hymns. They are not an organized congregation of people who know each other and have bazaars and rummage sales in November.

Maybe they should create a rubber wrist band.

I read a shirt once that said "If the the world was created by an intelligent design shouldn't it be a little bit more intelligent?" It made my day.
But no there isn't a way to tell, unless they wear something(as you have noted) or say something that makes you conclude that they are.

How about a bracelet or something with a walking fish that spells DARWIN on it. I've seen those.

Other than that I see no difference in their appearance than with religious people.

The look of disillusion on his/her face? I kid, I'm an atheist myself, and there's really no defining characteristic. The only thing atheists have in common with each other is that they don't expressly believe in any deity.

Piercing gaze, a wicked sense of humor, and a ravenous appetite for knowledge. Most of that is not readily apparent by how we dress though.

Probably an I just don't care attitude, and rebellious, they believe that if they don't believe in anything they don't have to be afraid of anything, they don't have to mind, listen or follow the Word, but it doesn't change the fact, That God is still there, It is like a parent telling a kid clean your room or you are goen to get grounded and the kid is not afraid, and doesn't clean thier room, they don't believe they will really get grounded, guess what if The parent has authority they will get grounded, just cause they didn't believe it, did not meant it wasn't gonna happen, so Jesus Christ tells us, The Only Way through The Father is Through The Son, and these people know they've been told that you can go to the other place if you don't have The Lord, but they don't believe it, Guess what they are going to get a Rude Awakening, because not believing in something doesn't mean it is not there and it is not going to happen.

They don't have that guilty look from telling so many lies, and you rarely see them talking to someone who isn't there.
