I'm fine with a little disagreement, but the blatant hatred here is disgusting. And the Zillas and the jihad guy aren't that funny.

Nobody respects each other; Many who post here often, respect each other, they may not like each other though.

Serious questions are instantly booted down by the trolls; Ignore them, or get to know them. You'll see them come and go while you develop friendships of respect here.

People make fun of other's beliefs; Did you hear the one about Jesus, and Moses playing golf?

Most of the Atheists spend their time telling the Christians how wrong they are; Most Christians are wrong, that's because most people really don't know how to read for content, and rely on others to 'interpret' the Bible.

The fundies give all Christians a bad name by acting like asses to the Muslims, Jews, and Atheists; 'fundies', is a derogatory word. I use it often.

People give you thumbs down for being a certain religion; Thumbs are irrelevant.

So what is the point of this section? This site is building a data-base, that will be installed in the worlds first Religion-Bot. Regardless of how you ask, or answer, you are contributing to the construction of 'The Beast'. Have a nice day...

My, that IS a loaded question. Atheists like myself do not hate Christians or followers of any other religion. What I do find interesting is that many people have difficulty separating fact from belief.

Example: Does god exist?

Answer: I don't know (and can never know) and am uncertain. However, I believe the answer does not matter for I would not change anything in my life regardless of the existence or non-existence of god.

One reason for the thumbs down is that people often confuse facts with beliefs. A poster below states, "One thing I know..." Try being a little more careful or accurate with your wording and the atheists are less likely to mark you down. (NOTE: I am not marking that post either way.)

I assure you I am not a troll!

I just prefer to operate under an assumed name and pic cuz I like mooses. (I find the avatars a trifle "aspartame" to represent me.)

I OFTEN give my honest opinion and I'll tell you ... I have gleaned a fortune of knowledge from this section! Religion and spirituality is easy to participate in because it simply requires an interest, opinion, or perhaps some expertise in your own area of familiarity.

Many people answer the questions with unusual "flair" but they're still giving their answers, whether the others like it or not. R&S is NOT for the faint of heart. But then, neither is religion or spirituality.

i totally agree with you, and the trolls give you thumbs down, for stupid things, you could be answering another christians question seriously and check back and see 10 thumbs down, wonder who they came from.
I wish something could be done, but i got all those points back from people that reported me. so, there is justice , what a waste of time if you ask me

It is supposed to be used to learn about new religions and cultures, and come to a reasonable understanding of another.... However, we spend our hours arguing over nonsense that none of us can prove is true...

I believe if we agreed and got along on every idea, there would be even less reason for R&S.
