one of my friends did this and it worked magic:
most girls dont want to talk to guys who *hit on them* because they seem emotionally shallow...theres no "mystery" :)
so one day, walk up to a girl you like...compliment them on something - like their shoes, or their hair...and then just walk away.
they will seem so swept up, they'll be overwhelmed - and go anywhere to try to find out who you are. they'll even look in the hall for you when you pass by again - just to start up a conversation.

start with compliments but dont overdo it. say for monday compliment about her shoes, then her hair the next next day, or anything you find attractive about a woman. cmon, im a girl and we sure do love compliments as long as it is sincerely said, not in some mocking or sexual way...although a look with a teeny tiny slice of lust can send shivers to us. but reserve that for girls you like.
if u'r just shy on approaching woman, you must feel confident from within, man. plus dont be tactless. the last thing we need is a guy commenting how we gained weight. i mean, you're a human being, use your social skills. be friendly. anyway, girls dont bite. on the other hand, well, we DO bite but ever so gently. haha. depends on the situation, if u get what i mean.

Practice. Make friends with girls you are not interested in, and just talk to them. Gain some confidence in non-threatening situations.
Think of some strategies for making conversation. Understand that girls don't like geeky guys who make lame jokes, so develop a cooler exterior. Keep in mind that confident men don't talk too much.
Practice being a little funny, in a slightly cocky way. I mean really practice. Think about situations, and what you could say. Follow some interesting events and think of quick, throw-away comments you could make.
And remember this simple rule: the more you let her talk, the more interesting she'll think you are.

u r afraid of what they and society will think about u when u talk with them. first talking girl is not a sin. treat them as equal as man. them u can overcome shy.

no longer probably, in common terms a splash, because of the fact I actual have yet another lady to talk to. i like Aqua Timez. you be attentive to, this feels like the manga I"s. perchance, she likes the shy-form of you, and quickly you would be jointly.
