I usually say, "How come?" And they usually tell me.

When I get told someone is tired I just tell them to go take a nap. Its a pointless thing to point out. Being tired is something that only you can fix, not the person that is being told. Tell them to go to bed early, not to over do it during the day but in general I just dont care. Its not as if I am full of beans myself and we all get tired.

Some people just like to say "I'm tired" when you ask them how they are. I make it a point Never to say that unless I REALLY mean it but it doesn't mean that I think the person I'm saying it to is a fountain of youth. I would say it to anyone, anyone who CARES to listen. I don't care if they don't care.

come to think of it "I AM tired".

I would just respond by saying "oh, why is that?"

And that's the end of it.

Good night, sweet dreams.

I usually don't say anything. I just start dancing around and jump into the floor and do a bunch of one arm pushups. Big difference between being tired and being lazy. I think most don't know the difference.

I think that these people don't expect a response. They are just saying they are tired; that's all. You could advise them to go to bed earlier and then change the subject.

Say, "oh, i'm tired too...." and then go on and on about some problem you either really have or that you can make up. That will shut them up real quick.

Generally I say "Are you?" and then they go on to tell me why...honestly, not that I care, I don't announce it when I'm tired.

I'll just tell him or her go and take a rest. This is not an issue to me.

I just say, "sucks for you, try and take a nap and get a good night sleep tonight."
