Since when did you think God exists to serve some purpose?
All things exist to serve His purpose, since He created all things.
Your attitude could explain alot about what's going on in your own personal life, as well as what is happening in the world.
What have YOU done to protect the weak and vulnerable?

God is a Creator not a maintenance being - the concepts of Deism is what all of America's founding fathers believed. So really the power we all call "God" is simply impregnating and moving on. That isn't a dash against Christianity at all - most people believe that all religions are viewing the Prime Mover by a different name, gender, characteristics, etc. Rabbi David Cooper elaborates on this in his book "God is A Verb" and gives insight to the real Kabbalah, Jewish Mysticism - not the current California spiritual term. Good luck, none of us have all the answers.

It is appointed to all men to die. Who is most weak and vulnerable? All must eat food, eliminate waste and get sleep. One hundred million words, works, dollars, face lifts, hours at the gym, celebrity recognitions or statements of disbelief will not change that. The power of God is to justify mankind and TO GIVE PURPOSE TO the existence of MANKIND.
..."Fear God and keep His commandments": for this is the whole duty of man." Ecclesiastes, chapter 12. verse 13.

God's image or vision for our world is far more comprehensive than man's. Even men understand the principle that one must have to destroy what does not fulfill the ultimate purpose to make room for what does.
Can you see that thousands of species of life were all extinct long before man was present on this earth. Not being aware of why the universe exists or its purpose, I suppose one might conclude God doesn't know what he's doing.------The biggest error is concluding that, man knows better.

God is used as the main tool by the rich and powerful to oppress the masses.
That is the purpose of a non-existent all-powerful deity.

God protects us all. he provides for us and takes care of us because he loves us. we should pray to him as christians and ask him to place his hands upon all people whether we know them or not. It is also up to christians to help and protect the weak, helpless and heavyladen

Our time here on earth is a grain of sand compared to eternity. God gave us 10 commandments and the golden rule. Look them over. If we could all live that type of life, what a wonderful world it would be.

If you are implying that God doesn't protect the weak and vulnerable, you are wrong.
Look at all the missions and outreaches of the church.
Look at the fact that even if a child - the weakest and most vulnerable of all beings - dies, that child will live forever in heaven.

C. L. Richardson is wrong that's for sure.

He says, "Look at the fact that even if a child - the weakest and most vulnerable of all beings - dies, that child will live forever in heaven."
why must a child live only to die without experiancing life? why wouldn't your god just put the kid in heaven to start with? your god is mighty...mighty stupid

The purpose of god (though there is no god) seems to be to torment and eventually kill every living creature mercilessly. But, 'he' loves us?
