I know this is kinda weird but its totally true .. I just got off the phone with my friend... Who has ALOT of money but thats besides the point he wants to get a little black dog and name it iggy and cat a name it ellen .. and laugh at them when they hate each other .. wtf is this world coming to ? Should i slap him ? is there anything i can do to make him not go through with this ?

He's an idiot, but what will really be funny is if the cat and dog become great pals, then the joke will be on him!

The cat and dog will probably become good friends.
As to dissuading your friend, maybe you could use reverse psychology. Tell him what great companions pets can be, how they will greet him at the door when he comes home, how the dog will motivate him to go for a walk and exercise it, what fun it is to take your dog to the park.
And both animals will love him unconditionally, they will sleep in his bed with him, and he'll wonder how he ever got along without them.
If your friend is as you describe him, all this will persuade him that he doesn't really want a dog and cat.
