I'm distressing over this b/c I don't know if my legs became shorter or they just look shorter b/c of the extra weight gain? My legs used to look long and lean but now look short & dumpy. Anyone else experience this?

Your legs did not become shorter. It's the weight gain that makes them appear that way.

yes this happens to me on a yearly basis!
your legs arent getting shorter, just proportionatly you may look shorter.

During volleyball season my legs fatten up and i feel i look shorter, but in summer when im not working out as much they get all skinny and stick-like and i feel so lanky, i love it!

yes, my legs used to be long and thin, but since i gained weight they do look short and stumpy. they didn't shrink though, don't worry! it's sort of an optical illusion
