Don't listen to anyone who says you did the wrong thing by breastfeeding her for so long... I'm not even going to get into that debate but geez!!!
Are you trying breast milk or formula/cows milk in the bottle. If you are not trying breast milk, maybe the change of taste coupled with it now coming from a bottle is too much for her.
Other wise at this age, she is able to get her dietary needs from solids only so if she is not at all interested in the bottle then I wouldn't stress about it.
How would you give her things like water or juice? Is she drinking from a sippy cup? you could always give her milk in that.
Hope that helps

Ok for some of you it is normal to breastfeed child past a year.
To asker: Ok by the age of 12 months the doc likes the child to be off the bottle if he/she was ever on one. Try sippy cups and you may have to try all different types b/c kids are picky sometimes. I started w/the cheapest ones first and moved up. My daughter likes the gerber sippy cups from walmart..they are shaped like an hour glass and are hard plastic, screw on hard plastic lids and the spout is same hard plastic..they change colors w/temp. of drink. They usually come in a pack of 2.
Ratta: at the age of one doc's like the child to be on whole milk (unless they have a health condition to have another kind) unless they are breast feeding. So if she stops breastfeeding then she needs to switch to whole milk not formula.

You could try buying her a sippy cup or something of that nature. There are many "sippy cups" that are still bottle like. They don't release the liquid unless being sucked on.
Also is she may enjoy nursing because of the bonding time she gets with you... Have you tried using the bottle with her in the same fashion that you nurse?
This is a tough one... but don't worry she won't be nursing forever. Good Luck!

she's to old for a bottle try sippy cups with whole milk and chocolate syrup
also i hope you are giving your child (no longer a baby now a toddler) food to not just breastmilk (not saying your dumb but i've seen alot of people on here who wonder why their toddler is small but they are still strictly breastfeeding)
and in response to the quran answer science has said that by age 1 breastmilk is no longer giving the necessary nutrients that a toddler needs

God spoke in the Qur'an that the best breastfeeding is 24 months for a baby.Breast milk is the best food fo a baby .The cow milk is far behind the quality of breast milk.It can not be replaced by other stuff when you want the clever and healthy baby. But if you want to stop your baby from your breast feeding it is easy if you put something that is bitter such as pill on the nipple of your breast fo several times when your baby want to drink..You can prepare its replacement in the bottle or cup of milk or juice.

Try a cup or sippy cup. I had a cousin who never took a bottle was on the boob until she was 2 but @ 18m took to a regular tumbler/cup. Wean slowly ie have the breast only for morning & bedtime.
Good Luck

Don't try to give her milk from a bottle. Try a cup, one of the sippy cups that will not spill. The beauty of these are that there are many types available and you should find one that your daughter will grow to love.
I started my son out on the Nubie ones, that were sort of like a nipple, but not quite....
He wouldn't drink from a regular bottle either. Don't worry if she will be hesitant to break from the breast though...my son is 20 months old...and still at it.

Get a plastic cup with lid (baby's cup) and try her on that.
only other thing I can think of is
spoon feed her - the sucking action for a breast and spoon are the same so she should adapt easily.
However, I would definitely try the cup first as it's a step closer to independence for her

ummm first of all...why didnt u stop that a long time ago? my mom told me she stopped bottle feeding us at 1, so why are u still breastfeeding? You've let her becom attached so now its gonna be hard for her and you. I think wat you should of did was every other feeding switch between brestfeeding and the bottle so the bottle wouldnt seem so foreign to her. but you should of did thid before she turned one. Good Luck On That!

express your breast milk and give it to her in a bottle, when she gets hungry enough she'll take it. then after awhile you can switch to formula.
