I dont know about you but honestly I am tired of hearing of Iran defying us and their arogant pursuit of WOMD. Not only are they supplying the terrorist in iraq, but are threatening our ally Isreal with threats claiming to wipe Isreal off the map. I believe it is time we show Iran that those who dare to defy the west, threaten our allies, deny the holocaust, support terrorist that are killing US troops, and already threatening to cause chaos if more sanctions are enforced because of their own arrogance. What are your thoughts? Put yourself in President Bush's shoes and take these into consideration:
would you allow Iran to gain nuclear weapons,
Iran refuses to stop no matter what, so you cant talk your way out of it
You have the knowledge that if Iran gets nukes, they will sell it to some jihad group for some religious jibberish to use against the west or isreal.
What would do?

Yes, I think it is foolish to wait any longer than RIGHT NOW.
The longer we wait, the better prepared the Iranians will be and the more difficult our struggle.
They are doing everything they can do provoke us and it is time to answer their call.

Well first, Bush's source for his belief that Iran wants to build nukes is a terrorist organization in its own right, the MEK.
They were part of the Iranian revolution. They got mad at the Iranian government because after the revolution, it threw them out. Then they walked over to Iraq and helped Saddam carry out his chemical attacks.
This is Bush's source.
Note that Bush has a history of believing literally any kind crank that comes along, as long as they're saying what he wants to believe. See "Curveball."
Second, even if the Iranians DO want to build a nuke, which is entirely possible, it is only speculation to suppose they'd engage in the kind of rabid behavior you're assuming is inevitable, once they got it. Very paranoid speculation at that.
Third, I doubt the US could get away with just doing a few air strikes. Land forces would inevitably have to get involved, likely a whole lot of them. Even if it were possible to destroy their sites solely with airstrikes, Iran would cause trouble throughout the region far exceeding anything Iraq was in any position to do.
Then there's Russia and China. Not that I'm saying they'd come in on Iran's side or anything, but just how many trillions of borrowed military dollars do you think the US can afford to throw down this rathole, before those two start taking some real advantage?

So what if Israel gets wiped out, they aren't really an ally. We are only useful to them.
The entire Middle East is a thorn in the side of the free world. Personally, I say let them fight each other with out any out side influence or assistance.
Their hatred for each other is based loosely on religious views and practices.
The Islamic nut-jobs stick Jihad on something and think they are justified in killing you and everyone you know.
The Israelis pull out the "Jewish Persecution" card when they aren't getting their way. They seem to think that justifies them in killing everything non-Israeli.
Let them have their precious little holy war. When they are done killing themselves, then the Western world can go in, clean things up, and give them some easy rules.

What about those poor little children getting caught in the cross-fire?
Don't play, play.
All for the glory of a one man's own great dreams in kicking the butts of God with glory of idol worshiping the dead Mummy of failures and horrors of the past.

Do they want to go and live in caves.
Have to carry buckets of water for food and drinks.
Even have to miss all the Bollywood show without electricity.
Have to survive with candle lights if any.
Food will be hard to come by.
Even have to look for scraps too.
Planting will take quite sometime.

Nothing is ever solved by war, if you want peace then you need to talk, Washington needs dialogue with Tehran, also the US should really stop trying to force its views and way of life on other nations. I dont like Iran, but opening up a new war with Iran is very very very dangerous.
after all, you cant claim that the US is winning the war on terror, they have made it even worse!!

It would require a ground invasion after the air assault and the casualties would be heavy for both us and Israel. But not yet. Iran is just creating more enemies in the world community and digging its own grave.

A ground invasion is not possible in Iran. Iran cannot be invaded because it has a poulation of over 80 million. Even their women can use guns and rockets

it would not be a full fledged attack without a ground invasion. it would be a limited attack otherwise.
however to answer your question no i don't think it's time for that.
