I've been dating this guy for 5 months and we only see each other maybe 2 days a week on the weekend. I just wanted to hear about what other peoples experience...soo If you can answer any of these questions, or you have any advise I would appreciate it!!

Did it work? How long did it last? How far away were you from each other? How often did you talk? Is it worth it?

A LDR takes communication, trust and honesty from the BOTH of you. If you can do that then you are off to a good start. I've been in one for 4 years now, we met at 16 and then he had to go back home. He lives in germany and i'm in the states (california). We see eachother about one month out of the year if we can. It can get hard, but we are very devoted and we love eachother so its all worth it. So far its working great, its lasted 4 years now, we are overseas, we talk everyday and its worth it. If you dont have one, webcams are nice cause you get to see eachother online, we use microphones to save on phone bill. Since you two are a bit closer you can plan on places to meet instead of just visiting at one persons house, town. I like to send my guy a carepackage everynow and then, he really likes that. Good luck, let me know if you have anymor questions. :)

Ok, here is my experience. Amanda and I lived about 70 miles away from each other and just so happened to be each other's rebounds. We only saw each other on Saturday, but we kept things strong by making sure we talked to each other every day. With all relationships, but moreso with long distance, trust is the biggest factor. Amanda and I had no trust issues, and we made the most of the time we spent together. That was three and a half years ago. Today, Amanda and I spend every day together. In my experience, if you feel there is a spark that could become something great, it is definately well worth it. But it takes time and full devotion.
