Do you have any prior service in the Navy? I am not sure what the new enlistment requirements are for non-prior servicemembers into the Naval Reserve. Check with the Reserve recruiter about joining the Naval Reserve.

There are limited positions for damage controlmen in the Reserves. Your best chance is if the local reserve center has a unit that has billets for DC.

Deployments for Naval Reservists depend on the member's rate, rank, and what unit they are billeted in, as well as needs of the Navy. Normal Naval Reserve deployments range from six months to a year, with individual augmentees to the Army somewhat longer. Naval Reserve Construction Battalions (SeaBees) are more likely to have multiple deployments, but there is usually a minimum of two years between mobilizations.

Hope I could be of some help.

touch a recruiter for different branches of the service and ask him/her to direct you to whoever you would be able to desire to talk to to get as we talk solutions as to what your innovations are. i does not evaluate starting to be to be something different than an officer, if I had a masters degree. the adaptation between enlisted and being an officer is the adaptation between hamburger and steak. comprehend count what your loyalties are to the militia and or your u . s . a ., quicker or later you will retire (in case you reside that long) and the retirement would be some distance stronger as an officer. I, in my opinion would look in direction of the reserves to income the two retirements. it would look that in case you're IT qualified (they'd desire to be waiting to attempt for that) they'd place you in that MOS. sturdy success.
