All 3 say they cannot allow me to view my free credit report once per year, "because of active military"
Im not active anymore, but I once was.
Is this normal, or a signal that something might be bad on my report?

The site for a truly free credit report is annualcreditreport.com

the freecreditreport.com is a commercial site that has you sign up for a service that you then have to cancel or pay for.

With all the problems happening to US military, the credit bureaus have a separate SECURITY FREEZE for military personnel.. I have a firm belief that this is now automated and tied into military records... However, there appears to be some sort of glitch that tells it to remove it.. However, you will need to contact the bureaus to find out who initiated the freeze and what documentation will be to remove freeze...

That's the first I've heard of it. Myself and several friends have used freecreditreport.com repeatedly over the years and it has never failed to operate, whether I was currently in the combat zone, stationed overseas, whatever. I've done it in many different circumstances.

Yes, my cousin got blocked a few months ago, he was inactive at the time, but they don't update very often. He had to email them, and have them check into it. Once finding your current status, they will be able to give your annual report. Good luck.
