My uncle is divocred and got a new gf (nothing bad about that in and of itself) and she shows up at various familly events.

The thing is that she is an very mean and nasty person. She puts everyone down (including me) and she makes a lot of racist statements (which I really do not care for). If I had it my way I would not have anything to do with this vile b*tch.

Please help!

Well, don't! You know every family has certain members that they as either ashamed of or TOTALLY despise. So to keep piece & make yourself look better & to keep from making a scene, just laugh, enjoy yourself, FEEL TOTALLY WELCOME AND WANTED & talk to YOUR UNCLE & THE REST OF YOUR FAMILY, like she doesn't exist. You belong there! You are probably not the only one who feels this way about her so there probably all thinking the same thing when she shows up! No one listens to people like that anyway, they are just being polite so you should too. Don't let her ruin your life...if that is what makes her happy. No one says you have to sit by her, hang around her or like her. But out of respect for the family gathering just smile and stay away from her!!!!.

Not really a lot you can do. It is not your relationship after all it is his and if he loves her well than that sort of trumps what your feel about her

At the same time is he present when this is happening?
does he say anything?
Is it possible to pull him up alone and just come out and share what your feelings are in a mature non confrontational way. Just let him know you love family get together buts that her remarks regarding race upsets you and you are uncomfortable when she starts downing others in the family.
Let him know you love him and know he is happy with her but wonder if he can maybe get her to chill when they are at the family gatherings.

Unsure how old you are but if you are younger maybe you can speak to your parents and have them also speak to the uncle.

I would tell her off. If she doesn't show any respect for you, why should you show respect for her? She's an outsider and you don't have to put up with her.
