Basically if you were a parent and would be annoyed by something then don't do it. Also most people who care about you are looking out for you. Think about if your mom is really trying to ruin yoru life or keep you from making bad choices or from getting hurt. If you have a problem with your parents talk to them like they are people. Most of the time they aren't complete idiots...maybe misguided or misled about what they need to worry about. Just tell them you aren't going to run out and have sex and do drugs if you stay out until 1, you just want to be with your friends. Hopefully they'll get it.

make time for your parent(s). even spending one night a week with them is good. then if something ever comes up you won't feel like you can't talk to them. also if you don't have assigned chores, help out around the house. and really listen to what they say.

Do your best in school, tell them often how much you appreciate them, help w/o being asked. Most of all tell them you love them before you leave the house and when you go to bed.

i know... that is the never ending question isn't it? you can never be good enough for your parents... because the truth is, they love us so much they are never satisfied, they will seriously SEARCH for disappointment, so no matter how well behaved you are, no matter how wonderful and obedient, you will never be good enough for your parents, and that doesn't make them bad people, it just shows how much they care about us... but i would stop worrying, as long as you have a set of morals and values and are reasonably respectful, I think you will get along fine. you will, however, always be inadequate.
