well...refusing to comply with police when they are enforcing the law upon you is an automatic arrest........just sign the ticket and pay the fine.....its more worth it than going to jail for X amount of days and having a criminal record.......

Yes you can be arrested for refusing to sign the citation. Signing the citation is not admitting to guilt but just acknowledging you will take care of it by one of your options, usually pay fine, attend driver improvement school, or take the ticket to court. But the citaion is a civil infraction document and if you do not sign you are arrested because you are basically saying you will not appear or take care of it.

Why would you refuse? Your signature merely acknowledges that you received it. It doesn't mean you agree with the officer or that you're admitting you violated the law. It's the same as signing a receipt when the Post Office delivers a package.

Yes it is considered Disorderly Conduct. You will be arrested. But they give you plenty of chances.
