I want to add onto my house and I need to hire a contractor or there any websites I can check out to check-up on them?

state licensing and permits website, BBB for county of residence,and if that doesn't do it then have them supply references and check those.ask references if you can come see the work they have done. and if you are in south carolina...call me.....licensed, insured, bonded and very good at what i do.

You can start by asking for references . you have to check all references. Also go to your county building or town building department with your list of contractors you have . check with the building department or building inspectors some times they can tell you if any on your list have a good or bad back ground. Check for proper insurance .Get a copy and call there insurance agent to make shore they have the proper insurance for the job and up to date insurance.
