I like the Aveeno lotion for dry skin. Aveeno's base is oatmeal, which helps to retain moisture in your body. I also use a humidifier at night when living in radiator heated apartments--really helps the skin from drying out from the heat. Also, be sure to drink MORE water in the winter because all the indoor heating literally sucks the moisture out of your skin. Good idea to use Vaseline in the morning after a shower to keep the moisture in.

I have the same problem- use baby oil after you clean yourself in the shower. It helps. Don't put it on your face though. Arbon has a great oil that I put in my face moisturizer and it helps keep my face from not peeling! I like Jergans Extra Dry Lotion for the body.

The best moisturizer is Vaseline (allergen-free, effective, cheap, available everywhere). Put it on right after drying yourself after shower to lock in moisture.
