Pardon the mildly disgusting and personal question, but for the past few weeks during and after crapping (for lack of a better word), I've experienced a burning, kind of itchy/scratchy pain between my 'cheeks' that's really quite painful. Typically I shower after, which helps a good deal.

I'd use Preparation H, but I never knew if Preparation H or Gold Bond were meant to be used up between your 'cheeks'.

Help appreciated?

First, you can use the gold bond between the cheeks, and it may work. The best thing to use is a cream anti-fungal, like that used for atheletes foot or jock itch. You can also have success with a diaper rash ointment, like desitin. If you need something in a pinch to get you through the pain till you can get something better, use Vicks vaporub. This will be quite cold/hot, but it feels a lot better than the burning.

I have problems with foods with lots of Cinnamon, jalapeno peppers, and tomato juice. So I do them in moderation.
