There is no edifying or favoring of saints for inspiration, dead or alive, in God's True Spiritual Body of believers. True Christians today are true and faithful saints of God who follow the EXACT teachings of Jesus Christ. And....they do not venerate dead saints and continually make a habit out of transgressing God's Spiritual Laws.

I am not a Catholic, but I was very inspired by Sister Teresa and she quoted some wonderful words, that inspire and assist people in understanding who they should be. She was a true example of love and understanding and forgiveness, I understand that they are in the process of making her a Saint.

The Apostle Jude Thaddeus... very cool name. I am inspired by his humility. The Gospel of John (14:22) mentions a disciple called Judas, who during the Last Supper asks Jesus: "Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?" The passage takes care to distinguish the disciple from the subsequent traitor by the wording "Judas (not Iscariot)." Because he shared the name of a traitor, Jude must have been humble and endured ridicule, and perhaps even false accusations.
Francis of Assisi.. he was a hippy, way ahead of his time, being into nature and the goodness of Creation. He was also the Founder of the Franciscans religious order. Of course, his prayer is among the best in all of Christianity:
Lord, make me an instrument of Thy peace;
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master,
grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood, as to understand;
to be loved, as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life.
Amen.
For me, Saint Francis embodies the Catholic ideal.

St. Joseph, not that he is a specifically Catholic saint. I think all the Christian denominations can claim him. :)
Why: First I think what an incredibly strong and spiritual and spirit-filled man he must have been for God to trust him with the care and nurturing of His only begotten Son. And after all the work that sacrifice that foster fatherhood implies, he vanishes from the gospel story.
I think along with his strength and wisdom and spirituality, this shows his endless humility. He didn't want a share in gospel "limelight." He bowed out, unobserved, to let God's glory shine more fully on Jesus and His Blessed Mother.
I wish I could find that kind of strength and holiness inside of myself.
Plus, I'm a step-parent, and I'm learning first hand how hard that can be. I go to St. Joseph often asking for intercession with this.

Personally, St. Zita, because she's the patron of waiters and waitresses, as well as rape victims. I've always been one to (stupidly) pity everyone and everything and I ALWAYS wanted to help the poor. Lol.
St. Zita gave away things that werent even hers, and God would always take care of that. She would give the poor the bread of her employers, and even gave her employer's coat to a poor man on (I think) Christmas Eve. Well, whenever she did things like this, the bread would be replaced with more bread by God, and the coat was returned the next day by an angel.
So yeah. I love her! =D

Saint Christopher. His sainthood means the Catholic Church with the Popes have no idea what they are doing. Some popes said he qualified to be a Saint. They cannot be wrong because they are pope and equal to Jesus Christ. Then, low and behold, we find Saintless Christopher does not qualify and that has to be right because a pope cannot be wrong. He is equal to Jesus.
The Pope is a substitute for Jesus. (Latin vicarius, from vice, "instead of")

Well, not to sound cliche, but Mary, the Holy Mother, is the most inspiring one. She risked the possibility of being stoned in order to obey God's will for her, to bring Christ to Earth.
My patron Saint is Barbara and I ask her to pray for me everyday.
