So many girls, who are obviously skinny/average, ask if they are fat on here. Can't they look in the mirror or ask a friend? When I read questions that state, "I'm 5'4 and 115 lbs. Am I fat?" it drives me nuts! None of these girls go to the doctor and get their height and weight checked? Do they know about BMI, or fat calibrators? How about just asking your family? It's crazy to me. There are so many different body types, it's not even possible to determine whether someone is fat just by a vague description either. Someone can be 130 lbs of pure muscle, while another girl is 115 lbs of "flab." And I use the word "flab" loosely, no pun intended.

haha completely agree. I also agree with another answer you got, that people just want to be told that they look good. If a girl who is obviously skinny asks someone if shes fat, they will obviously say, "No, you look great!" and now they feel good haha. It's sick, i agree, i know im not fat, im 5'3 and 120 lbs, but sometimes i do get this image of having a 'perfect body' in my head and i get all hung up on it. Wanna know what it is, the stupid media and the skinny celebs doing it to us.

first of all, you do not tell the youngster something. that would want to weigh down her and make nutrition even more advantageous significant than it already is. You reported her mom is your buddy, then search for suggestion from her back. yet please be careful in the way you try this. Does your buddy keep in mind that you've imposed particular guidelines for her baby at the same time as she is at your living house? also, what style of cheer squad is discriminating at 5 years previous? My 13 365 days previous is a cheerleader, she did no longer might want to formally attempt out till this 365 days...seventh grade! Squads at this youthful age are about learning no longer preserving others out. If it is the shape of squad you're sending your baby to, please think again what you're doing. that variety of competition isn't good for the little ones. certain, she's learning to be the 'acceptable cheerleader' yet at what cost? Please do not discourage the little female from desirous to cheer or dance or something else. playing those events will inspire her to be more advantageous lively.

Attention for the most part I think. Most people have no idea what BMI is or what there body fat percentage is. All people seem to care about is what the scale tells them.

Same reason why guys ask about their d i c k s. Cant see the obvious & we are our own worst critic. Plus people you know might tend to lie just to avoid a scene that ends in "OMG, you just said I was fat!"

People are unhappy with themselves. I think a lot of them want to be told that they are not fat and how great they look.
I think it's crazy because I would love to be that "FAT" lol

I don't know either. It scares me though how many girls are obsessed with their weight and can't tell how thin they are.
