Okay I love to bake and I'm good at making cakes but I just don't know how to make the icing that goes at the top and I just bought this book called "Beautiful Cakes" by Peggy Porschen and I though it was gonna say how to make the icing they use for those really preatty cakes but it doesn't so does anybody know how to make it. I would really appreciate your help thanks.

The ones on the front of her book look like they are done with Fondant icing.
Which is usually gotten at cake shops, some bakeries will order or sell to you or you can make it from scratch.

Some cake decorating sites I have used may be helpful.
I Love this site for little tips and how to's

Do a search on FOOD & DRINK... there are TONS of buttercream icing recipes posted (many by me!).

Just wiat to frost your cake until it is COMPLETELY cool or you'll have a huge messon your hands.

If you can bake, you can whip together icing!

I use a 1 cup powdered sugar mixed with 3 tbsp of milk. Use the milk according to how thick you want your icing to be.
