He doesn't need it. He might want it. But He doesn't need it.

I need it. It keeps ,e in a right relationship. If I thank Him with a sincere heart that is overflowing with gratitude, that means that I have a clear picture or who I am and who God is in relation to me.

It means I realize all that God gave me: the breath that I take and every heartbeat and all the love and beauty around me.

I think God wants that because when our minds aren't clouded with a lot of other stuff, things we generally call sin, we can get closer to Him. That is all He wants for us, to be closer to His great heart.

What does His power have to do with anything? Don't YOU like to be thanked when you do something wonderful for someone? We all need acknowledgment and a bit of praise when deserving...don't you think that GOD should at least have that for all He has done for you?

Because a long long time ago people wanted control so they wrote the new testiment and made people think that they were born bad and the only way to heaven is to praise the lord and live exactly how they thought people should get into heaven, even though people are meant to make mistakes and have flaws and be alive and not some kind of a brainwashed worshiper.

Yes He is all powerful but He cannot / will not ever force us to love Him. When we submit (accept Christ as our personal savior) then we become a new creation in Christ. Then we finally give God the one thing that He actually wants but would never take by force. I hope this helps. Take care and may God bless you and your family.

I think that way about praise. God doesn't need our praise for heaven's sake - who the heck are we to praise God. But thank - everyone likes to be thanked and gratitude often does more good for ourselves than the people we are grateful to.

Peace!

Are you not thankful for all He's done for you? When you do something for someone else, does it not make you feel good when they show gratitude? Do you need the gratitude of others, or is it confirmation to you that you have been a help to them? God does things for us and He has no more need of our gratitude than we have of the gratitude of those we help, but one thing He and we share is that we appreciate being appreciated. He wants to have a relationship with you, and gratitude is part of that relationship.

its the natural way...its like when somebody save your son or daughter that almost died beacuse of car accident what would you do?you will just go away without saying anything to the person who saved your child's life?or you would say thank you a thousand n continue to give something such as flowers n help the person if he needs some help. Its the same thing.Jesus come to this world n died on the cross to cleanse all of our sins that we cannot pay...thats why we need to thank Him...

most preposterous notion that H. Sapiens has ever dreamed up is that the Lord God of Creation, Shaper and Ruler of all the Universes, wants the saccharine adoration of His creatures, can be swayed by their prayers, and becomes petulant if He does not receive this flattery. Yet this absurd fantasy, without a shred of evidence to bolster it, pays all the expenses of the oldest, largest, and least productive industry in all of history.

Yes he is all powerful, we need to thank him for us not really for hiumself. Us praising God and thanking him also helps usout but we shouldn't do it for us but do it b/c he is God and deserves all the honor and praise.
