I don't like it when people blame God for everything, either. It's a sign of taking the Bible too literally and not thinking. It's also a sign of regarding God as being just like themselves, when he isn't.

I tell you the truth God cannot be blamed for everything! There's Satan trying to rack up as many followers as he can, then there's the fact people try to play God with their own lives instead of seeking God and heavenly treasures.
Besides, God did not promise a bed of roses or constant perfect happiness. He did, however, promise to comfort us through rough times, and promises to be faithful to us. God has a plan for everyone, and if a person chooses to play God with their own lives, there will be far more catastrophes than people who do follow God.
God is perfect and blameless. People have free will, free will meaning He is not going to force us to follow Him and his ways. As long as Satan is ruling the evilness of the world, and that's going to happen as long as the people on earth exists, yes, bad things will happen.

Simply put, I don't like it when people blame God for everything, either.

I agree.

Some of us blame God for the things that made them suffer or burden with guilt. Not only God, they blame also certain things like, their country, family, or even inherited genes.

Honestly, I also once blame God but then realized that it was my choice that cause me to experience a certain fate or event.

Like we are pointing 1 finger to the person we blamed but the other four fingers are pointing at us.

WE made decisions and WE must accept what consequences we will face..

No one to blame but us.

See what may be done and still the world of men won't repent:

Revelation 16
8 The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and the sun was given power to scorch people with fire. 9 They were seared by the intense heat and they cursed the name of God, who had control over these plagues, but they refused to repent and glorify him.

10 The fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom was plunged into darkness. Men gnawed their tongues in agony 11 and cursed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, but they refused to repent of what they had done.

18 Then there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder and a severe earthquake. No earthquake like it has ever occurred since man has been on earth, so tremendous was the quake. 19 The great city split into three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed. God remembered Babylon the Great and gave her the cup filled with the wine of the fury of his wrath. 20 Every island fled away and the mountains could not be found. 21 From the sky huge hailstones of about a hundred pounds each fell upon men. And they cursed God on account of the plague of hail, because the plague was so terrible.

It is easy to blame intangible things. How many times have we blamed our own failings on "others" keeping us down? Often. As long as you give credit to every good thing in your life to God, then its ok to shell out some of the blame.

They would then have to blame themselves for not listening to God in the first place.

Because they are mentally immature, irresponsible for what they did wrong that's why they blame God.

I think whenever something goes wrong, people say "well, there is a God, and something bad happened, that he could have helped and he didn't, therefore, it is his fault." Yet, they don't realize the reasons that God may not have helped, or they fail to realize that it may have been their fault.

I assume you're asking Christians this question (since Atheists don't believe in God and thus wouldn't blame him).
