Do you believe that His Apostles would have continued the commission that Christ gave to them and died the way they did had Jesus not proved Himself to be true?
"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen." Matthew 28:19-20

Maybe you are truly ignorant-God did not write anything. the Bible is a recording of His Word, Jesus's Word, and their teachings and wonderful works. Yes it was written by human men. Yes
You sound absolutely ridiculous when you say you beleive in God, but not the Bible. How did you come to that type of understanding? You would know nothing of God if you hadnt have had someone introduce you to the Bible.
I just think you dont want to follow what the Word says so you make fun of The Holy Scriptures. This will be a costly mistake on your behalf. God says to obey His Word and here you are totally downgrading it in your life.
Think hard about what's going to happen to you when the wrath comes, all because you didnt apply the book to your life and mimic the teachings of Christ.
I feel bad for you-wise up buddy, God is not going to let you into Heaven simply because you stated you believed in Him-If you refuse to follow the Bible you are just flapping your jaws. And God sees this.

I Believe in the Bible but, no God didn't write it himself!
You are right, Show her what she's won, Johnny!
The Bible was written by disciples & men (Fishermen) Spoken to by the holy spirit!
It is the oldest book ever to have been found in scroles!
Rather you believe or not doesn't mean you are right!
It just is a shame not to be able to read the Bible and see for your self if its true or not.
If you come on here looking for support in Not believing, your right people will support stupidity.
Like the Scientoligy book that was written in the 70's...People actually believe that!
But a book Thousands of years old tells about the very Universe that God made before we ever figured out there was a Universe. No one believes that now do they, Nope!

Certainly not. The Bible is the word of God in the words of men. However, there are many things in the bible which are not meant as teaching. Our task is to determine which is the word of God and which is not. Did God authorize a Church to interpret the Bible for us? Yes, the Catholic Church was commissioned by Christ to teach all nations until the end of time.
"And so I tell you. Peter; you are a rock, and on this rock foundation I will build my church, and not even death will ever be able to overcome it. I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of heaven; what you prohibit on earth will be prohibited in heaven and what you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven." - Matthew 16,18-20
"And teach them to obey everything I have commanded you. And I will be with you always, to the end of the age." - Matthew 28,20

No. I am awriter and believe that I have written many things that were completely God inspired. I created none of it.
In the same way, I believe He inspired every word of the Bible. Have you even read it? No man could have formed this document, now used as a Historical reference to even secular scientists and historians.
Why question the Bible anyway . . why not question if God exists? Further more, if He cares about you?

The Bible was assembled by the First Council of Nicaea in 325 A.D.
It is essentially a collection of books that was voted on to be assembled into a single text.

2 Timothy
Chapter 3
Verse 16 All scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.
Verse 17 God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.

the Bible is a divinely inspired book. It was written by several people and more and more proof is coming in every day with every archaeological dig finished, every papyrus manuscript tested and every person believing in something more than "this"...

...the Bible is God inspired and meant for reference in history, faith, wisdom, guidance and Truth...it must be believed , but "word for word" is dangerous in any writing...including the Bible...we need to study it with Divine help and enlightenment
