1Jn:1:9: If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Man this is a bad place to be asking a question like that. You don't sound like you are really in a place to have your faith challenged and atheists take every opportunity to discourage and dishearten the weak in faith on this sight. As I'm sure you'll see, their like vultures.
Anyway, the answer is simple and it is the reason why atheists will never win their battle ultimately. The God of Christianity is a loving personal God that people can have a relationship with and get to know. Everyone I know that knows God will never forsake their faith because they experience Him on a daily basis and have mounds of evidence of God working in their life and showing Himself to them in different ways. But the biggest reason people of Christianity are so grateful for their faith is that they know that God is just to forgive them of their sin (as with any good father over His children) if they simply confess and repent. The feeling of the Holy Spirit coming over you as God forgives you and takes your sin that Christ has already paid for is unmistakable. The Bible says that our salvation is a calm assurance.
The second thing you must know is that hell is simply separation from God. Everyone that will be telling you you are a moron for considering hell to be real is going to be kicking themselves when they don't have God's provisions for comfort (such as an galaxy, earth, and perfect living environment) in the afterlife. All I know is that my chances of having a better life here are better when I use God's provisions and surely they must be better in the next for the same reason. Anyway, if you don't want to be separated from God in the next life, don't let your sin separate you from Him in this life. My experience is that if you don't intentionally get rid of your sin, that it will eventually seriously screw up your life and God will allow it in order to break you of it. But you can intentionally stop your sin now by simply getting closer to God. Follow Jesus' example and fast and pray. It is the quickest way to make you really truly reliant on Him and oh so desiring of more of what He has to offer. God will be your drug if you can be successful fasting and praying. There is no faster way to kick bad habits and accelerate your spiritual life. Blessings!! P.S. If you are in a good church, go ask your youth pastor. If not, get in a good church, it will be a great help to you.

First of all, if you are truly saved, you are a new creature in Christ Jesus. (2 Cor. 5:17) This means that you will have new thoughts, new desires, and a completely new outlook on life. You will have the Holy Spirit of God living within your soul. If you lie a lot, it is because you desire to do so. No one has to lie. They do so because they choose to do so. If you are truly saved, I do not know why you believe that you cannot help but lie. If you continually have a desire to lie, and it does not bother you to do so, then I would be wondering whether or not I had truly been saved or not. When a Christian sins in any way, the Holy Spirit is always present to bring conviction upon their heart, to make them realize that they have done wrong. If you feel no guilt from your lying, then I would say that you have never truly been saved. I would get on my knees before God and make certain. Even though Jesus shed his blood in order to cleanse us from all of our sin, that does not mean that we have a right to sin any time that we take a notion to do so, just because we know that God will forgive us. God will not send you to Hell just because you told a lie, but He most certainly will bring conviction upon you when you do so. And if you never feel any conviction about your lying, I would be very concerned about the condition of my soul.

there is no hell. they just tell you that because they want you to stop lying and doing bad stuff. that doesn't mean that its ok to lie but try not to lie because its not a nice thing to do. i dont believe in god but i believe that someone should be nice and help others and not lie. (do what you think is right and when someone tells you to do or not to do something think about it first. if it makes sense then do it, and if it doesn't make sense like going to heaven or hell and all that magical stuff then its not true)

There is no Hell, But You are not saved till you Endur(Matthew 24:13) But he that has endured to the end is the one that will be saved. And You need a close Relationship with God to Endur
And you cant have a relationship with God While Following Satan.
(John 8:44) . . .YOU are from YOUR father the Devil, and YOU wish to do the desires of YOUR father. That one was a manslayer when he began, and he did not stand fast in the truth, because truth is not in him. When he speaks the lie, he speaks according to his own disposition, because he is a liar and the father of [the lie].. . .

Zach, i was a xtian at one time... these threats of hell are just empty threats... there is no evidence for any "gods" let alone the imaginary hell concept...
If you really, really *study* these self proclaimed holy books you will clearly see that it is the work of man kind. If you continue to live your life under the threats of some "boogyman" story then thats up to you...
Although i encourage you to seek the real truth... the truth that ALL religions are false... live in the *REAL* world dude ! You only get one life, enjoy the hear and now... there is no afterlife, thats another man made concept... being dead is the same as before you were born... nothingness ! :-)
If religion was "true" then we'd still be buring our dead in pyramids and worshipping cats... that one didn't quite work out. cristianity will die out like all other religions have done before it. Fact.
All the best to you.

properly, i do sense that that's pointless to assert "hell" in maximum situations..AND actually everybody human beings do no longer do it. Its very generalizing. i'm American and we are no longer ALL approximately John Wayne. That replaced right into a protracted time in the past and not in this technology. we don't all experience horses and shoot bow and arrow. that's an old stereo sort of human beings. Its sort of exclaiming all Brits have undesirable tooth..no longer all Brits have undesirable tooth.. i think a small inhabitants does..yet no longer ALL.

I feel the same way sometimes and this really assures me that we are both still going to heaven...
So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God's law; but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death?
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death. Thanks be to God—through Jesus Christ our Lord!
~Romans 7:21- 8:2
I guess if Paul even had trouble with this then we are not alone. Submit yourself to God and let Him work...He will!

Salvation is not based on anything you do, or don't do. It is a total work of God. If you are of the elect, chosen out for salvation, have been indwelt with the Spirit, born anew, your salvation is sure, a settled thing. You can do nothing to gain it or lose it. Concerning your lying problem, stop it. Simple as that. Pray God will give you the courage to tell the truth, no matter what. If you are His, He will continue to sanctify you, changing your desires away from sin, to pleasing Him. If you are truly saved, Hell is of no concern to you.

If you are really trying not to lie, you pray for forgiveness and repent when you do and you pray for strength to stop lying, you won't go to hell.
If you don't care about it and just go ahead and do it anyway without feeling bad about it or asking for forgiveness, you will go to hell.
You can't fool God. He didn't send His Son to die for nothing. If you don't give an effort to change and become more like Jesus, you will not be saved. You are not saved by your works (the things you do) but you can be damned by them.

God will love you no matter what. As Christians, we are all works in progress. When we are saved, we don't automatically become perfect, sinless people. Just pray to be more honest and try to because you know that is what God would want you to do.
