In a manufacturing plant involving use of methanol, is it safer to have a full tank or a half/less than half full tank (ie. quantity of methanol is less) of methanol?
Which is more dangerous? the fumes or the burning of methanol?

A full tank is much safer than a half full tank.
The methenol will burn but the fumes are violently explosive

Methenol is kept in a sealed tank, not a vented one like gasoline.

Liquids do not burn. They must first vaporize to form fumes. Therefore, a full tank is the safer alternative.
