There was no one there for me and no one there afterwards to help me pick up the pieces. Therefore there is no god. And even if there is a god i hate him for not being there!

Your real question is why does suffering exist in a real world if a loving merciful God exists.

This question does not have a compete answer. Therefore, it is a darn good one to ask.

The best way to look at the problem is the environment in which the "suffering occurred”.

- The Scriptures make it plain that God did not create the world in the state in which it is now, but evil came as a result of the selfishness of man. The Bible says that God is a God of love and He desired to create a person and eventually a race that would love Him. However, genuine love cannot exist unless freely given through free choice, will, and thus man was given the choice to accept God’s love or to reject it. The choice made the possibility of evil become very real. When Adam and Eve disobeyed God, they did not choose something God created, but, by their choice, they brought evil into the world. God is neither evil nor did He create evil. Man brought evil upon himself by selfishly choosing his own way apart from God’s way.

- Chain of causality, the act of the rapist is the result of a long continuing chain of evil acts done by choice of a person doing something against the will of God.

We live in a universe that is falling apart (ask any astronomer of physicist). Not only is it falling apart physically, but morally as well.

I know this answer will not help the individual being raped, the child being murdered, or the wife being battered.

However, the cause of the problem is much bigger than the incident itself.

- What comes around goes around. Rapists are usually caught.

The answer comes down to the issue of 'free will' of mankind as a whole.

Right there watching. We see events up close and uni-dimensional. God, however, sees things from a more wider perspective that's why He is Wisdom while we are always asking why about things. God allows evil such as rape to take place perhaps because it is part of a greater scheme of things we may not yet comprehend at the moment. Good can come out of evil. This is the untimate triumph of good. On the other hand, redemption and damnation are personal fates. Rest assured the evil act of rape will damn its perpetrator and still redeem the victim. But on the whole, the act of rape could still come out as good later on. One famous incident of rape in history is the rape of the Sabine women by the early Romans. That was tragedy, but the forced admixture of two altogether different genetic strains improved the genetic pool of the Roman people who then went on to conquer the world. In the world of the African cheetahs where inter-tribal rapes do not exist, the specie has deteriorated lately due to generations of in-breeding. Look up your family history and origin: there must have been incidents of rape( oh, come on, don't be naive) somewhere down the centuries. Look what it had produced: this wonderful, vibrant, energetic creature today called YOU. Thus, the ancient sages of the Bible, having lamented over the fate of the daughters of Jerusalem on the very precincts of the Temple mount after its Babylonian capture found wisdom in these thoughts and wrote for us today who still couldn't quite comprehend it, "How great, thou art, O Lord of the Universe...[although]..your ways are not our ways, your thoughts are not our thoughts."

God gave man and woman free will. I am sure he knew that there would be joy and freedom and also pain and suffering.

In the World Wars men asked the same thing? Where is God?
Then the United States entered the war and beat back Hitlers army and Japan.

During the Clinton administration there was a big debate for Pro life and against abortion. People again asked what you did. Where is God?

A woman named Mother Theresa stood up boldly and a conference that bill and hillary were at and stood up and said "Please do not kill any more children. I will take the children to a place they are safe. Killing children and abortion is sin."

So Mother Theresa was good and fought for good.

So why do bad things happen? It is because man has free will. Free will does not go without consequences. Everybody, including the evil rapist(s) will pay for what they did.

It has been said best in the bible where it is written "Do not fear the person who can harm the body rather fear the person who can cast both body and soul into hell."

The rapist can't effect the soul only the body and the body is just our tent of really no value. The soul is where the value is.

God is always near the raped women, neare to their throats.God did not help them because :
1)They did not obey to God's prophibitions and instructions stated in the holy book eg qur'an
2)they went to a lonely place only both of them she self and her boy friend without accompanied by his brother. This habit is hated by God
3)they wore clothes not in line with God's instruction which should cover all their bodies' parts including their hairs, bre ast and legs and no beckless..They wore a very tight clothes which are heated by God.
4)They did not pray at least 5 times a day dan did not make a prayer for the safety of their lives by asking for god's protection. They did not remind Allah so Allah forgeted them.
5)They made a friendship with the bad behaviour men such as no strong faith, drunkbard, often telling a lie, gambler ,cheat er etc which are hated by God
6)They were easily tempted by satans so they did bad doings which are prohibited by God.

God is there! Even though he isn't pleased with what is happening in the moment. Be assured the rapist day will come.
2 Peter 2:9 "The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly...and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished." God can and will take care of the hurt put upon the victim when they seek after him. AND, he will punish the rapist at the day of judgment if he 'appears' to have gotten away with it now.

...assuming you want a "real" answer...here goes...
I was raped some years ago...did I cry and scream...you bet...did I survive...you bet your a__, I did...where was God?...lining up the help that I was going to be needing in the aftermath...like the person that brought me to the hospital, the doctors and nurses who treated me, the guilt ridden soul I had afterwards was eased by counselors, the ability to talk about it now, years later, in hopes of helping other victims and preventing it in others...that's where God has been...God didn't rape me, that sorry excuse for a man did and God has helped me live with this and recover from it...That's where God has been...!!!

Many people turn away from God because they acquired wrong ideas about God.

Evil and suffering is not a disproof of God, but a constant reminder of our need for the perfect God of the Bible (2 Cor 1:8-9).
God did not create a perfect world. The more perfect exists alongside the perfect. Nature has both constructive and destructive forces. Physical good will always be mixed with physical evil until creation reaches perfection. God created the world in a state of journeying so that we could be his co-creators in perfecting our world.

Suffering is a call to love one another. It is also our ticket to heaven. Much of the evil and suffering in our world is due to our failure to heed the commandment to love one another. Our love not only heals and nourishes those who suffer but also redeems us. Suffering then is a necessary part of life because without out it we would effectively be like spoiled children not truly loving God out of our own free will.

“We also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.” – Romans 5,3-4

That is why God does not seem to interfere in our lives. He has a plan for to get us to heaven and he does not want to make changes in that plan unless something goes wrong. But we certainly can (and should) pray that this plan includes the special favors that we ask of Him. His plan takes into account all of the free-will choices that we make, including how much we pray and how diligently we try to follow His commands. By all means talk to God all the time about a happier life here on earth.

The same place He is when a child is aborted, or a man murdered, or birthday party going on, or any other thing that is done is done. He's in Heaven, in absolute control of the situation, and working His design into the world with infinite precision. ALL THINGS WORK **TOGETHER** FOR THE **GOOD** OF ** THOSE WHO LOVE THE LORD. ** All things! Good, bad or indifferent. If you don't love Him, you're on your own and things will bring what things bring. Bad things happen. Joseph's brothers sold him into slavery, and they did so because they hated him and wished to kill him but were convinced to sell him instead. They meant it for evil, but God meant it for good, and He made a wonderful thing of it. He can, and will, do the same for a raped woman, IF she will love Him. If not, she's on her own, with the rest of the world.

God has laws concerning rape. They are to be put to death. then they can't do it again. It is written that if we kill these people word will get around and these things will cease happening . But do we do that ? No !!! God does not interfere with free will . But He has told us how to handle it. It therefore is our fault that it continues more than it is His. You are just preaching /proselytizing atheism

God is where He's always been. satan is the ruler of this world right now. Sin entered into the world through man, via satan. God gives us all free will. Evil is all around, and satan is always preying on those who are weak. Children are molested, tortured, and murdered everyday, also, as are many other crimes done to innocent people. It is because of sin, because of man's DISOBEDIENCE to God. This will go on until Jesus returns.
